My try. I edited out a fair bit of vegetation.

  1. Looking good Colleen. Colleen has the advantage over us, in that she woke up to this view every morning for a few years, so she knows it intimately. Is this the same one you were working on at my place?

Sure looks different without all that wonderful vegetation.

My favourite part is your mountain!!!!! Your house is neat, and that big hill is magical too.

  2. Thanks JJ. No It's not the same one. That's still on the floor - put aside, but not forgotton. The unfinished look has given me an idea for another painting of Mt Warning.(I can hear you cringing.)

  3. Not at all, I am glad you are being inspired by that painting. See using not so good paper was worth it after all. Everything has a reason, even if we don't see it right away. I can't wait to see your next painting of it.. Go Colleen!!!

  5. I maintain that this is cheating, leaving out all that annoying vegitation. It's a nice rendition tho...you went with an impressionistic view, which strikes as a bit simplistic. But your's is better than mine....

  6. Thanks Anne and mackb. Let's not talk about 'better', only 'different'. I admit I didn't have the guts to tackle all that vegetation. I loved the freedom of your shack mackb and your knife painting Anne. Now that was different!

  7. Oh Colleen you've done very well on this!

Love the background mountains and the cast shadow(?) on the middle ground mountain, looks cool!
The building's well drawn and foliage needs more values though. ;)

A great effort Colleen, well done!
