From Under my Kitchen Sink

When I looked under my kitchen sink for something to sketch I was lucky and this was sitting right in the front. It was harder than the turtle but maybe I liked the turtle more.

  1. I used to have one of those indoors, but all my indoor pot plants die in this house. First time I have not had pot plants in a house, but they will not grow for long in here. House must be whammied..

Nice drawing.. It is recognisable. :) Some shadows under it to ground it would be good :) Shadows have 3 values, cast and form, as far as I know. Try putting the darkest next to the watering can bottom, then the medium and fade out to the light soft and fuzzy part.

  2. I think that when you're enjoying drawing something, it always comes out better. This is still really good, though, Linn. :)

  3. Again I thought of the shadows JJ...next time I will add shadows. My plants are out on the sunporch...winter and summer...it is like a jungle out there...I need to trim some of them down and replant into larger pots. In the winter the poor things look pretty sad...guess they have gotten used to having to be dormant for awhile though because in the warm months they grow like crazy. I do neglect the poor things but they keep thriving.
