Paintings I have done at the Market

Most times I take my paints with me when I go to the market. I paint on 5"x7" gallery wrap canvas and sell them for $15.00 each.

This lot I did the last two times I went.. I have 4 market days left before I head overseas..

  5. Good for you Charity.. I did 2 charcoal drawings at the market I will post thim in a minute, just have to resize them. I sold one painting, and some art supplies today.

There is a market on Friday night, same place. I am going, and it is free. Might make some money hey. There is a movies in the park night on, and they are combining it with a night market. David said if I leave the roof off my gazebo, he will put under a street lamp, and I will have light.. Yay!!

  6. Oh wow! Congratulations JJ!! I wish we had a market here. I'd love to spend a few days drawing and then see if any sell...or perhaps get a commission or something. I'm so happy for you!! :D

  7. I get a lot of folks take my card, and say they will email about a commission, but so far, they haven't :D I don't hold my breath.

I had one guy today, he wants to post me paint samples of his girls rooms, so I can paint something for their walls, that will match the colour. He wants me to paint the ballet shoes for one of them. We shall see if he gets back to me. I wont hold my breath, but you never know..

  8. It's a start. :) Besides, the ballet shoes were so very feminine and pretty. I know my daughter would have loved them. She's very much a 'girly girl'. lol

  9. In past experience, I don't get excited about these kind of folks, as they never do email. Buying art is impulsive, unless one is a serious collector. Still he just may surprise me.

  10. True. I guess I don't really think of art in those terms, but that's because I draw...or try to anyhow. lol

  11. It is the same with any kind of art, no matter what it is, no matter what medium. Most people see a piece, they like it, they buy it. If they see a piece, go away to think about it, there is a 95% chance, they wont come back..
