Just clearing that up. haha I needed something somewhat easy tonight because I've been busy all day. It's actually a bit darker than it shows, but I guess my photos aren't that great yet..getting better though. :) I retried the cap, JJ...and refuse to post it because I got frustrated and threw the entire bottle away. lol So, here's one of the pencils that I use very rarely.

Thanks, JJ. My house cleared out a bit tonight..and I spent a lot of time just enjoying the quiet of family. I forgot how nice it is to have that quiet. lol So, I'll work on some other stuff tomorrow..Have a great day tomorrow, and I hope you sell lots of great paintings! :)

I use a B grade in nearly all my drawings, so do try it.
Thanks, Ree. :) I have so many darn pencils, that this is one I haven't tried yet. My darks are with 8B or 6B, and most of the other is F or HB, while my outlines are 2H. There's still a ton of pencils I haven't used, so I probably need to find something one day that has a HUGE range of shades.

That's an interesting link, JJ. I think (and I could be completely wrong) that a line drawing is the drawing without the shading. To keep my lines light, I use a lighter pencil. Plus, my B's seem to lose their sharpness much quicker than the others. When doing what I consider to be a line drawing, I do use my B's.. But I know that I'm not going to have to shade over them. Am I making any sense here? lol

ReplyDeleteI have sandpaper to "sharpen" the point of my B's as yes they do loose their point easily..
