Sand Artish Thing (Day 29)

See? I told you all I'd start catching up. Hubby took my sister to the store, and everyone left (ok, so I still have 3 kids here, but I can handle the kids. It's the adults that drive me batty. rofl). This was a sand art thing that my dad picked up when he deployed many many years ago. Yes, it sits in my bedroom, right beside a picture of my mother and I when I was a baby. So, only a few more drawings to go to catch up. lol I didn't quite get it right, but I just couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how to get that pesky glass on either side.

  1. I know what you mean. When I have adults in the house, I can't create either. It is so hard, as they interrupt all the time. The kids are not so bad, as they obey me. You sure have been busy, playing catch up, good for you!!!!!!

  2. Oddly enough, the adults are MUCH louder than the kids are. Plus, I get hugs from the kids. haha

  4. Thanks, Anne. Mabie I'll learn to draw glass one day. The colors were just SOO close that I had a hard time seperating them.

  5. Great effort, Charity

To get a transparent look on glass, you need to lighten the shadows that you see through the glass as it lightens their values...;)
Also, soften the edge of each grade in the cast shadow. ;) The ellipse at the bottom of the bottle is not quiet there yet, but the top one is perfect!!!! ;)))
    Well done Charity!!!!

  6. Thanks Ree. I'll try glass again soon and see if I can implement some of your suggestions. I'm sure it'll help. :)
