I drew these today at the market. The road took me 4 hours, and the waterfront took me 2 hours. They are both 12"x8.5"
Here we have a group of friends, painting one picture a day, encouraging, and challenging each other, and having fun! We breath, we create!
NICE JJ!! You're really getting good with the charcoal. Are you liking it any better now? They really do look terrific. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Charity. Actually, I am really really liking it. I think maybe I am going to like it more than graphite :p
ReplyDeleteReally?? I haven't figured out how to use that stuff yet. I have tons of it...sticks, pencils, and all..but no willow charcoal. I'm working on a picture right now that basically ate my 8B pencil..and after I started, I was thinking.."Dang..I should have used charcoal for the blacks..." lol
ReplyDeleteFantastic drawings JJ! Can't pick a favorite they are both great with good shading and darks and I like them both the same.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, I am rather pleased with htem myself. I am still open for c&c though. Anything I post is up for critique..
ReplyDeleteNo crit really...you did a great job on these. Looking at them though I do like the 1st one better...more going on.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The second one is about the shadows of the tree on the pavement mainly. It is a local scene, just up the road a ways from there we have the market..
ReplyDeleteBoth great but I do love that sunny path!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne..
ReplyDeleteWOW! JJ! These are great, best ever IMO!
ReplyDeleteGosh, thanks Ree.
