Something Special
Somebody will recognise this. :-)
This is a very special gift in two ways. One, the person who gave it to me is a very good friend, of long standing, and I treasure her friendship, secondly, when she found this gorgeous little elephant brooch, she looked on the back of it. There on the top right, was a copyright mark, and smack bang in the middle of that mark, were the initials JJ. It was made for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The elephant has two beautiful ruby red eyes. My favourite colour!!! This is one of my most treasured possessions..
A4 Sketchbook. Graphite.

Awwwww....what a lovely story .....and he is gorgeous JJ!
ReplyDeleteAdorable little guy and a charming story!
ReplyDeleteSweet boy, and good drawing. Looks like he could use a spot of texture though, like the orange peel effect.
ReplyDeleteGood friends think of each other, eh.
Yes I tried to do the orange peel thing, with the tip of my pencil, but I still don't know how to do it..
ReplyDeleteYes, good friends always think of each other..
Oh! What a cute little ele-fant, JJ, love him!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable!! He is my favourite elefant!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is so very cute! Your friend sounds like a very sweet person. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to orange peel either. It's not something I thought about putting on my people, yet I can see where the effect would be good for whisker stubble.
ReplyDeleteSo, thinking about it, perhaps a soft dull pencil and a stump? I'm thinking Lil' Annie Fanny outa come in here and tell us how-to since she did that fabulous orange in pastel. How 'bout it?
Hahahahahahaha, sorry Anne, But I know you wont remember how you got the orange peel effect. Do You??
