Ok, so here's my something leafy. It took probably 10 hours altogether. I hope you gals like it. Yes, it's completely odd, but it just kinda came out in a "my mind's blank" sketching session. lol It looks a tad different in real life, but that's as close as I could get in my paint program. Let me know what you all think. :)
This is graphite on canson drawing paper. 9x12 and it fills the entire page.
I like it...good imagination! I see eyes in there.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linn. :) Yep, there are definately eyes in there. Not sure where they came from, but yep..they're there. lol
ReplyDeleteThe Day of the Triffids!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think this is completely too cool!!!!!
What's a Triffid?? lol Thanks, JJ. :D
ReplyDeleteIt was a book made into a movie. Look at this link.. http://www.dvd.net.au/review.cgi?review_id=5302
ReplyDeleteHmm..interesting..Never heard of it..but now I want to read the book. lol
ReplyDeleteCertainly interesting and very carnivorous.
ReplyDeleteWow! ....10 hours ....and it shows ....wonderful work Charity ....I spotted the eyes too!!
ReplyDeleteIs it some sort of cactus plant?
Thanks, Colleen. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne. :) I have no idea what it is. I just decided to doodle and this is what came of it. lol
I want those eyes to be looking at a little lady bug, ala Ona-bean's work.
ReplyDeleteI can see much potential for this piece. Done in the right palette and paying attention to values would be fabulous!
That's a really cute idea, Fookie. I probably should have thought of a lady bug or something before I sealed it. If you ever feel the need to add color, feel free. I do my best, but I'm just not great with color yet. Not great with graphite, either. lol
ReplyDeleteUm...who's Ona-bean? Meant to ask that before, but hit post comment before I thought about it.
