On the Bay
16" x 12" acrylic on canvas. What do you think, is it too stark? There were two yachts in the reference photo, and I was thinking of adding one of them, but I am not sure ?
This is a really good painting because the prospective is so interesting. Is this the one that sold?
YOu can get more mileage from this reference. I think it an excellent idea to do another with a sailboat in perspective on the horizon line.
Also, experiment with the spinnaker in different colors (see what is in the harbor). I really like where you are going with these sailing references--excellent idea and you are painting them so well.
The reference had two yachts in it, just in from the horizon line. I was going to paint one in, but decided not to. You have a good idea about the spinnakers, yes.
I wouldn't add the yacht ..... I think it would distract too much ....this is perfect as it is in my opinion ..... Great work!!
ReplyDeleteI like this JJ, very realistic and as for adding a yacht, I'm not sure either.;)Well done g/f!
ReplyDeleteNo boats, maybe some wispy clouds, but this has a simple beauty to it.
